Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing which means “science of life” (Ayur=life, Veda=science or knowledge). Its origins lie in the Vedic culture of India. Tibetan medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda, as well as early Greek medicine. Recognizing that human beings are part of nature, Ayurveda describes three fundamental energies (Doshas) that govern our inner and outer environments. An important goal of Ayurveda as well as your lull esthetician, is to identify our guest’s ideal state of balance, determine where they are out of harmony, and offer services and recommendations to reestablish balance.
What are Doshas? Three fundamental energies that govern our inner and outer environments contribute to the physical and emotional tendencies in the mind and body and are the principle of constitutions within Ayurveda. These three energies/Doshas are broken into three vital bio-energies: Vata (Air/Space), Pitta (Fire/Water) and Kapha (Water/Earth). These bio-energies or elements constitute each individuals physical, spiritual and emotional characteristics, are extremely dynamic, and can fluctuate or become imbalanced due to a variety of factors. By understanding the attributes of these Doshas and their expression at the time of service, your lull esthetician will determine and customize a treatment to help you move closer towards a greater sense of balance and harmony.
Doshas Balance/Imbalance For each Dosha, there is a balanced and imbalance expression. For example:
When Vata is balanced, a person is lively and creative, but when there is too much movement in the system, a person tends to experience anxiety, insomnia, dry skin, constipation, and difficulty focusing.
When Pitta is functioning in a balanced manner, a person is warm, friendly, disciplined, a good leader, and a good speaker. When Pitta is out of balance, a person tends to be compulsive and irritable and may suffer from indigestion or inflammatory conditions.
When Kapha is balanced, a person is sweet, supportive, and stable but when Kapha is out of balance, a person may experience sluggishness, weight gain, and sinus congestion.

WHAT IS SUGARING? Sugar paste, used for hair removal, was originally developed by Egyptians-known as “Halawa” many centuries ago. lull Boutique Spa uses Sugar of the Nile products, which took it’s name in direct reference to this history. The sugar paste is created in an environment free from impurtities blending together a recipe of all-natural ingredients consisting of sugar, lemon juice and water, which is designed to gently and efficiently remove hair from all body parts and skin types.
